On a few occasions the Mixed Tape editorial team takes pride in the continous success story of emerging artists, that we’ve discovered and featured on our compilations.
Exactly this is the case when we watch the rise of the young Mancunian indie band and Mixed Tape regulars ‘The Words’. These days the boys are developing an exciting reputation as one of the hottest up and coming indie bands in the UK – and deservedly so! While their song ‘Under The Sun’ premiered on Mixed Tape 30 and had been voted on our classics edition ‘Full Spectrum’ by you, ‘FAG’ graces our current Mixed Tape ‘Anniversary Bliss’ as a very special bonus track.
Thus we are glad to inform you about the next milestones in their career. On the 11th of August they will share the open air stage of the ’Stuttgarter Sternstunden‘ festival with the headliners Placebo and 30 Seconds To Mars. Wow!
The next big step forward will be the release of their debut album, which is scheduled for November 14th.
