‘Reflecting Love’ by Chasing Kurt (Mixed Tape 40) is a deep house love song that you’ll love

What sounds like the name of a 2012 sequel of Tom Tykwer’s movie ‘Run Lola Run’ is a newborn deep house project from Gießen, Germany. Chasing Kurt was formed by the producers Pascal Blanché, Wojtek Kutschke and singer Lukas Poloczek in 2010. So far they’ve released the excellent single ‘Daydreams’ which was featured on our Mixed Tape anniversary edition ‘Anniversary Bliss’ and the ‘Money EP’ which is the first release of Good Ratio Music, a new vinyl sublabel of the Spanish digital only imprint Neovinyl Recordings.

The single features the original cuts ‘Reflecting Love’ and ‘Money’ plus an alternative version of the first and a superb remix of the latter by Tom Ellis. While the title track is a low-slung, dark vocal cut, our favourite ‘Reflecting Love’ sets the pace with beautiful chords, nice atmosphere and a production that combines the mellow techno dub aesthetics of Chain Reaction with a modern deep house vibe, a techy edge à la Deetron and emotive male vocals Roger Owens would be proud of. The boys just call it a ‘deep house love song that deals with the partner of their dreams’.

Check out this constant grower which is already supported by DJs like Jimpster, Jef K, Trickski, Charles Webster, Quentin Harris, Fred Everything, Maya Jane Coles and more. Listen to the prolific sounds via the www.soundcloud.com player below:
